This is a classic specimen of burnt, orange-brown, intergrown but still exposed, typically barrel shaped crystals of Campylite richly lining the display face of the piece. Campylite is the, still mentioned barrel-shaped variety of Mimetite and here we have the specimen from the ´type locality´, the Dry Gill MIne of Cumbria. The crystals and clusters are showing a fine luster, a good colour and only very minor edge wear, just at the periphery.
