A common species like Calcite is not usually world class, but in this case we observe a group of crystals from the August 2004 discovery in Madagascar, formed by an attractive aggregate, in which the sharpness of the crystals, their color and luster, and especially the appearance of extraordinarily unusual twins, formed by the interpenetration of two rhombohedra, are outstanding.Basalt Quarry, Ambariomiambana, Sambava District, Sava Region Madagascar(08/2004)
