Lorenzenite is a rare sodium titanium silicate found in pegmatites and nepheline syenites. Here we have a super lustrous, razor sharp,1,4 cm doubly terminated, black-brown Lorenzenite, nicely perched atop the matrix on this excellent specimen. I have seen many of these when they first came out and can say this is a superb one. Incomparable to the well known stuff with the brown and more silky lustrous crystals, despite many of these are larger. There is just a bit of contacting on one face but for my opinion this fact doesn´t count, considering the overall quality and fresh look of the crystal.
