Absolutely gorgeous gem Rhodochrosite crystals sprinkled with minor black Manganites from the famous NChwaning I Mine, South Africa. It displays completely transparent, clear and gem Rhodochrosite crystals. They have an intense and incredibly rich red color. The crystals are perfect with sharp shape and edges. The faces have glassy luster. The quality is outstanding - superb color and clarity so the crystals just glow. The deposit has produced these treasures long time ago and pieces like this have always been scarce. It displays beautifully all over 360 degree. The quality rivals the Sweet Home Mine Rhodochrosites. For references see the 2017 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 48, # 1. In very good condition – some base part contacts. On acrylic base., Killer beauty!
