Superb crystal of gem Grossular Garnet var. Tsavorite decorated by Diopside crystal from Merelani Hills, Tanzania. Tsavorite is a very rare, green, chromium or vanadium variety of Grossular. The crystal is 15mm, very vitreous, clear, transparent and gem quality with strong luster, and rich green color. It has sharp shape. At the top of the Tsavorite penetrates gemmy colorless Diopside crystal with strong luster. Some black  Graphite is seen at the base. In good condition – some base contacts. On acrylic base., Fine Tsavorite!
