This is a Calcite on Baryte with Sphalerite from Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA. A classic Elmwood calcite with golden amber color, gemminess, luster, and a sharp twin plane in the middle, this is truly a special display piece because of how the large crystal floats up and off of a well isolated matrix.
