This is a Brazilianite on Quartz from Corrego Frio mine, Linopolis, Divino das Laranjeiras, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Brazilianite of this quality and specific color and luster ONLY came out of a few small finds in the old days of Brazilian gem mining; Peter Bancroft documented mining them in the 1940s, and in fact sent the first batch to the USA in that time.Data last checked on 29th Jul 2024 - specimen may no longer be available
